Picture tube sets: Conventional TVs that use a picture tube, comes in screen sizes from 13 to 36 - it is a heavier TV with a deep back, and offers a good combination of performance and value.
LCD flat panel: Very light weight TV and only a few inches thick, with screen sizes ranging from 13 to 37. These TV sets can be wall mounted or placed on a TV stand. They have excellent picture quality with bright, smooth images.
Plasma flat panel: Very thin TV but heavier than the LCD. 42 to 50 are the most popular screen sizes, and can also be wall mounted or used on TV stands. Excellent picture quality with bright colorful display; offers the best viewing angles.
DLP: Not as deep as conventional TVs but deeper than plasma or LCD TVs. Much lighter than picture tube sets and plasmas, screen sizes range from 40 to 70. Very good picture quality.
